Pricing policy

CHASM™ pricing policy is based on two principles:

1. covering the basic costs of software maintenance, associated research and development, and a website presence;

2. ensuring that some income from software sales is used to provide support to the developing world for community-based programmes relating to slope stability1

Currently, CHASM is being used to provide support to a Caribbean project 'Management of Slope Stability in Communities' [MoSSaiC]. See www.mossaic.org

The goals of the MoSSaiC project are to provide:

- software tools to identify process controls on slope instability,

- inexpensive approaches to site monitoring,

- technical capacity-build at the local level to analyse and monitor landslide risk,

- training at all community levels in relation to landslide prediction and monitoring,

- ways of better informing local communities of landslide hazard.

Power auger purchased by CHASM software sales for piezometer installation in the Caribbean; and a Community-based project in the Caribbean to improve slope drainage for which CHASM software has been donated.
